Synopsis: Pearls for sale. London 1807.
Review: Capturing the oppressive tone and atmosphere of the London of Bernard Cornwell's Sharpe novels, seamlessly blended with spot-on Sharpe TV characterisation, Pearl Traders is one of those rare fan fic beasties. Loyal to both canon masters and jaw-droppingly sexy at the same time.
And I do mean 'jaw-droppingly sexy'.
Actually I mean incendiary. The sex scenes are simply mind blowing.
Flickering candlelight and velvet all have their place in a narrative so richly detailed you'll swear you can hear floorboards creak as you're reading.
The absolute best thing about Pearl Traders though is it leaves you wanting more, only to follow in with a sequel.
